Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure that uses the body’s own healing processes to boost production of collagen and elastin. Every medical microneedling appointment at Cedar & Birch also includes gentle body acupuncture, a facial mask, light therapy and after-care samples. Each appointment also includes, if desired, nanoneedling over the eyebrows to promote hair growth and over the lips to create soft and plump lips. Microneedling for the chest is available to add-on to your service. A numbing agent will be applied before your procedure to ensure your utmost comfort. Expect 24-48 hours of redness and a minor recovery process for 1-2 weeks. Plan for 24 hours of no direct sunlight, no make-up and no sweating.

You will start to see the amazing benefits of medical microneedling after one treatment, but please allow 4-6 treatments for optimal results, with 4-5 weeks between each treatment. Microneedling results can last up to 5 years with proper maintenance. Plus, microneedling enhances your skin care product effects as well, by increasing absorption up to 2000% after a treatment.

Nanoneedling uses a nano-tip instead of micro-needles. Nanoneedling is a non-invasive procedure that requires no downtime and can be done weekly as well as in between your microneedling sessions for greater results.
